Candidacy of Osman Gunduz removed

On Thursday the Azerbaijani Court of Appeals removed the candidacy of Osman Gunduz, balloting from Balakan constituency 109, Trend reports.

Balakan constituency 109 addressed to the Court of Appeal to remove the candidacy of Gunduz due to coomplaint of citizens and candidates in regard to Gunduz. They accused Gunduz of distribution of money to electors, attrackting of electors to vote collection at expense of gratuities.

The sitting under the chairmanship of judge Salman Babayev interrogate several witnesses. They reported that the representatives of Gunduz came to their homes and promised 30,000 manats instead of vioting for his candidacy. The court made a sentense on removal of his candidacy.

Gunduz said that the accusations were baseless and absurd. According to Gunduz, the witnesses gave false testimony and did not know him. He considered that his candidacy was removed because of his influential position in this constituency and exit poll to be held here.
