“The victory of 33% of independent candidates testifies for democratic organization of the parliamentary elections,” Akkan Suver, the head of the Turkish observation mission, also chairman of Marmara Fund, said to a news conference in Baku, Trend reports.

According to Suver, the monitoring of the elections and observation of counting of votes by the 82 Turkish observers in different regions of Azerbaijan give grounds to state that the elections met the Azerbaijani Elections Code. “We conducted a monitoring not only in Baku, but also in the regions Zagatala, Sumgayit, Garadagh, Ismayilli, Goychay, Lankaran,” he underlined.

“We did not registered any violation during the monitoring and I can state that the elections met international norms,” the head of the Turkish delegation stressed.

At the end Suver noted that there were winners and losers in the elections, but the sides must respect to the people’s decision. Otherwise, it will be appreciated as disrespect to the Azerbaijani nation’s decision.
