CEC cancels results of voting in three constitutes

The first meeting of the Central Election Committee (CEC) was held on Tuesday. The meeting considered some complaints on the results of the voting and adopted appropriate decisions, Trend reports.

Natig Mammadov, the Secretary of the CEC, noted that they studied complaints in Surakhani 2nd constituency 31 and found shortcomings in protocols of 10 constitutes. The Secretary proposed to cancel the results of the voting in the stations and recount votes. The proposal was accepted by members of the CEC.

Surakhani 2nd constitute 31 includes 28 election stations. Protocols will be recounted in 18 stations.

Mammadov noted that the total number of stations comprise in Sumgayit 2nd constituency 42 comprised 2/5. Therefore, the results in the constituency must be cancelled. The members of the CEC confirmed the proposal.

Ramiz Ibrahimov, a member of the CEC, touched upon the similar figure in Binagadi 2nd constitute 9. The members of the CEC cancelled the results in this constitute as well. Protocols on the both constitutes were sent to Prosecutor Office for further investigation.

It should be mentioned that the winner in Surakhani 2nd constitute 31 was Ali Garakhanov, followed by Ali Karimli. The winner in Sumgayit 2nd constitute 42 was Hijran Husseynova, followed Flora Karimova. The rival of Israfil Aliyev ranking 1 in Binagadi 2nd constitute 9 was Sardar Jalaloglu.
