On the elections day 39 appeals were sent to prosecution bodies in regard to violations

On the voting day at the elections to Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan on 6 November 5 facts of possible criminal content came in the working group of the Prosecutor General’s office: 3 interferences in the activities of the election committees, 1 case of corrupting of the electors and forcing to vote against their will, the report of the Prosecutor General’s office of Azerbaijan reads. At the result of inspections, a criminal case has been filed on 1 fact.

It has been revealed that registered at Shamkir rural constituency N99 Vahid Djafarov on 6 November at 10.50 a.m. took 5 ballot papers and envelopes, interfered into the activities of the election committee and voted simultaneously for the candidates Mehtiyev, Nadjafov and Mammadov. He is accused of the interference in the election committee activities.

On the whole, 39 appeals were sent to prosecution bodies on the voting day. The appeals were considered, two of them were sent to relevant committees for the decision.

The papers for investigation on the facts of violations in the activities of the committees of Surahani 2-nd constituency, Sumgayuit 2-nd constituency and Binagadi 2-nd constituency N9 were sent to the prosecutor’s general’s office.
