Telephone talk between Presidents of Azerbaijan and Pakistan took place

A telephone talk between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Pakistan, IlhamAliyev and Pervez Musharraf took place on 18 November. The talk was held on the initiative of the Azerbaijani side, Trend reports, citing the press service of the head of the Azerbaijan’s state.

During the talk Ilham Aliyev voiced condolences to his Pakistani counterpart in relation to innumerous victims and destructions caused by the earthquake on 8 November.

The Azerbaijan’s President showed interest in the latest situation in Pakistan expressing the confidence that the Pakistani people will be able to overcome any difficulties and liquidate the consequences of the devastating earthquake. According to Aliyev, the government of Azerbaijan is ready to send aid to Pakistan any time, noting the Azerbaijani delegation also took part in the international conference of donor states in Pakistan, headed by the country’s first deputy Prime Minister.

Parvez Musharraf, in his turn, expressed his deep gratitude to Ilham Aliyev for condolences, telling about the measures, carried out for removal of the consequences of the earthquake.

The heads of the both states discussed also the issues of bilateral relations.
