The seventh Rhythmic Gymnastics World-Cup Corbeil-Essonnes 2011, which was also attended by Azerbaijani athletes, has already completed, the Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation reported.

The leader of the Azerbaijani team, Aliya Garayeva , took part in the finals and won two silver medals. Garayeva received 28,225 points in the exercise with hoop and 28,525 in the exercise with boll.

Garayeva yield only to Russian Yevgenia Kanaeva. Delphine Ledoux and Melitina Stanyuta ranked the third after Garayeva.

Garayeva took ninth place in all-rounds exercises and other our gymnast Samira Mustafayeva took 24th place among 49 participating countries.

This commotion was the final test tournament on the eve of the 27th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships to be held in Minsk on May 27-29.

Three individual gymnasts Aliya Garayevs, Anna Gurbanova and Zeynab Javadli and junior group including Lala Yusifova, Aisha Mustafayeva, Mansura Bagiyeva, Aynur Jabbarli, Sabina Garatova and Siyana Vasilyeva will attend the Euro 2011.

The Universal Sports Complex Minsk-Arena will gather 74 gymnasts and 23 junior staff, representing 33 countries of the continent. The athletes will compete for seven sets of medals, including five for individual gymnasts (team standings and four finals - hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon), and two - junior (and all-around finals with five ropes).
