Completion of preparatory work for the III Congress of World Azerbaijanis is at hand, spokesman for the State Committee for Diaspora Bahruz Nazarov told Trend.
Nazarov said that the congress will bring together about 600 representatives from more than 50 countries. They are the representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations operating in different countries, Azerbaijani scholars living abroad, public officials, cultural figures and businessmen.
Nazarov said that learning and preparations associated with the Congress will be conducted next week.
"Several declarations are planned for adoption at the congress", Nazarov said.
"A report on accomplishments made after the II Congress will be presented at the congress", Nazarov said. "Moreover, the decisions will be made on the integration of Azerbaijanis from around the world."
The III Congress of World Azerbaijanis is planned to be held in Baku on July 5 in accordance with the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the "20th Anniversary of the Restoration of Azerbaijan's National Independence", dated January 21, 2011.
The I Congress of World Azerbaijanis was held in 2001. The II Congress was held in 2006.
