The Azerbaijani border guards detained 121 people who were wanted by the police in August, the Azerbaijani State Border Service reported.
The detainees were transferred to the law enforcement agencies.
The border guards prevented 46 violations of the state border and arrested 80 people.
The officers prevented violation of state borders from frontier post by 16 people in 12 cases.
The border guards arrested 65 people in 34 cases when crossing checkpoints with faked document, while 2 individuals in 2 cases were detained with other persons' documents.
Some 7 individuals were detained in 4 cases for violating sea border regime.
The border guards also seized more than 36 kilograms of narcotic substances from trafficking in August.
The border guards also detained smuggling worth 272,000 manat in 43 cases last month.
