The common channel of Turkic-speaking countries should be funded by Turkic-speaking countries or countries that are members of TurkPA, Director of Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani-Turkish co-chair of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Nizami Jafarov told Trend.

Jafarov said, the issue of creating a common channel was discussed at a recent meeting of the Standing Committee on Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs of TurkPA, but there is no concrete decision yet.

This issue will be raised at the plenary session of TurkPA in the near future, Jafarov said.

"If only one side take the obligations on implementation of this project, it will be difficult to complete it, some problems will appear. It can be implemented by the support of a businessman, but with a condition that the project wouldn't express his own interest, but the interest of all Turkic world." Jafarov said.

The financing of the common channel by the parliaments or governments on a proposal from the parliaments would be the best practice, Jafarov said.
