Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan carries out various activities, conducting propaganda work among the population in the area of environmental protection with regard to April 22 - International Day of the Earth.
Specialists of the Ministry held a meeting with the staff of the school № 225 in Yasamal district on Wednesday with regard to the International Day of the Earth, the press service of the Ministry told Trend.
At the meeting, students were informed about the activities carried out by the Ministry with regard to environmental protection. Specialists of the Ministry responded to the questions of the students.
The tradition of International Earth Day celebrating was born in the 40s of the XIXth century. Gradually it becomes widespread, and now this day is celebrated in nearly 150 countries, including Azerbaijan.
