Some 48 people were detained on 30 violations of the Azerbaijani state border in March, the State Border Service told Trend on Friday.
Around 23 of them are Azerbaijani citizens.
Those detained include eight Uzbek and Iranian citizens, three Georgian citizens, two - Moldovan citizens, etc.
Some 208 wanted people were detained and handed over to law enforcement bodies during the reporting period.
The border guards prevented an attempt to transport 36 kilograms 289 grams of drugs through the border during the month.
The border guards detained smuggled goods to the amount of 1,144 million Manat in March.
