In the near future Azerbaijan will provide establishment of schools and clubs for the cycling, vice-president of the Cycling Federation of Azerbaijan Sahib Alekperov said on Sunday at a press conference, dedicated to the results of the international cycling race "Tour d` Azerbaidjan".
According to Alekperov, some results of work, conducted in the country in this field will be achieved by the end of this year and from the beginning of the next year Azerbaijan will be represented by its team on international cycling races.
"In the meantime, we need to be patient, as the rush and taking of some decisions prematurely, even if we want not to happened, because it takes time. On the other side, premature solutions can only create problems for us", - Alekperov said.
It is first necessary to create a material and technical basis for the development of this type of sport. In particular, we need to create the road infrastructure, to complete work on the reconstruction of the cycling racetrack.
"The country has a new BikePark where it will build a new cycling racetrack. Construction project of cycling racetrack is already being prepared. I think with the creation of the material-technical base, number of cyclists will increase", - Alekperov said.
