If Istanbul is not elected the capital of 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics , then demonstrates-provocateurs in Gezi Park are to blame, Turkey's Minister for EU Affairs Egemen Bagish said, "Hurriyet" newspaper reported on Monday.

"Istanbul meets all the parameters of holding Olympic Games. If Istanbul is selected the capital of the Olympics and Paralympics 2020, it will be success of all the Muslim World," Bakhish said.
Earlier Turkey has applied for holding 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Istanbul. Turkey ensures the allocation of $19 billion in organizing Olympic Games.
The official application on holding Olympic Games was submitted till September 1, 2011. On May 23, 2012, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that the official candidates are Madrid, Istanbul and Tokyo.
On September 7, 2013 IOC will announce the capital of Olympic Games at its 125th session in in Buenos Aires.
