A new photo session of the Heydar Aliyev Centre took place on the eve of the international architectural presentation of the centre, to be held on November 5.

The Heydar Aliyev Centre is considered one of the miracles of modern architecture. At present, it is one of Baku's symbols. The author of the project is world- renowned architect Zaha Hadid.

The building enjoys a unique architecture, embodying the dynamic development of Azerbaijan.

The building shape represents not only a post-modern style of architecture, but also the length and infinity. The lines on the building symbolise the connection between past and future.

Straight lines were not used in the project.

The white colour of the building symbolises a bright future and is used to highlight specific elements.

A network of iron structures with a total length of 90 kilometres was created during the construction. While installing a 40,000 square metre roof, around 12,027 special panels of different sizes and forms such as triangles, rectangles, trapezoids and parallelograms were used.

The main building of the centre consists of three sections. The first includes the Heydar Aliyev Museum, the second a nine-storey exhibition hall. There are exhibition halls, administrative offices and a café. The third section includes a four-storey auditorium. There are two conference rooms, rooms for formal meetings and gatherings and a media centre.
