The number of people who arrived in Azerbaijan in 2013 requesting permanent residence increased by 828 people (38.1 per cent) as compared to 2012, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend on Jan.23.

According to the information, in 2013 the relevant structures of the Interior Ministry and State Migration Service registered 3,000 people arriving in Azerbaijan asking for permanent residence and 800 left the country.

33.7 percent of immigrants came from Russia, 5.3 percent from Ukraine, 4.4 percent - Kazakhstan. 49.6 percent of migrants left for Russia, 7.8 percent for Ukraine, and 33 percent for Kazakhstan.
