An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale jolted Turkish Van province, Anadolu news agency reported on March 5.
The earthquake occurred on Wednesday at 14:03 local time at a depth of 4 kilometers, according to the Bogazici University Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute.
The earthquake's epicenter was in the Mollakasim village of Van province.
It caused panic among the local residents. No deaths, victims or destruction was reported.
