Famous U.S. singer Michael Bolton for the first time, will perform a solo concert at the Heydar Aliyev center in April 19, the center reported on March 7.

The composer and singer who gained a worldwide fame for his rock ballads, will perform most popular and new songs for Azerbaijani audience.

Bolton, 60, who is of Russian origin, was born Mikhail Bolotin, and brought up in the United States.

Besides a successful singer career, Bolton is also a famous composer. He composed songs for such international stars as Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga, Diane Warren, David Foster, Phil Ramone, Barbra Streisand, John Legend, Jay Z and the American rock band "Kiss".

Bolton, a Grammy award winner, also sold over 53 million copies of the album throughout the world.

Love ballads dominate the repertoire of Bolton who awarded a star on Hollywood's "Walk of Fame". The most popular songs are "Can I Touch You ... There?", "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You", "Love is a Wonderful Thing", "Missing You Now".

Bolton's duets with the world stars such as Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo, Renee Fleming, BB King, gained the love of millions.

Bolton`s music can be heard in many famous films and TV-series, and his song "Go the Distance", which can be heard in the animated movie "Hercules", was nominated for "Oscar".
