Global forum, to be held in Baku, discussed with UN’s ex-secretary general

UNESCO hosted an exchange of views with former UN Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali as part of preparations for the 2nd Global Shared Societies Forum, to be held in Azerbaijani capital of Baku in April, 2014.

The forum will be organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center and the Club of Madrid (Club de Madrid).

Boutros-Ghali said during the meeting that this initiative can be of great support for a constructive dialogue between the peoples representing different cultures and religions, the Nizami Ganjavi International Center told Trend on March 22.

"This forum, which will be held in Baku in April and bring together government leaders, is a very important platform for discussing issues concerning all of us," Boutros-Ghali said.

He also recalled his visit to Azerbaijan in 1994, and stressed that he was pleased to visit the country once again.
