Some 41 passengers were to fly by an aircraft crashed in Tehran on August 10. But one person missed the flight, according to the statement made at a meeting of the working group at the Tehran office of the Disaster Management Center.

"There were 34 adult passengers, three children, three infants, eight crew members on board," according to the statement.

Forty five people were killed and nine injured as a result of Sepahan Airlines aircraft crash. One person died in the hospital. Among the eight victims, four men and four women. Two people are in severe condition.

Some 45 people were killed and three injured in a plane crash in Tehran, Mehr reported on Aug. 10 with reference to Iran's police chief Ismail Ahmadi Moghaddam.

"The surveillance cameras in the city recorded the crash," he added.

Iranian media reported that three passengers managed to jump out of a plane and escape.

Moghaddam also added that according to the preliminary version, the crash occurred due to ignition in one of the aircraft engines.

The AN-140 aircraft flying to Tabas town crashed while taking off from the Mehrabad airport.
