The Public Service of Labor Inspectorate under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan in August 2014 provided previously detained social payments in the amount of 22, 944 AZN, the ministry said Sept.8.
The payments of wages in the amount of 19,102 AZN, payment for harmful working conditions in the amount of 2,120 AZN, as well as payments for social benefits and compensation in the amount of 1,722 AZN have been made, according to the report.
Increase of state control of this sector reduces the cases of delay of wages and other social benefits. Thus, the amount of delayed social benefits decreased by 18.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
