A criminal case on an explosion in a building in the city of Khirdalan was filed upon article 225.2 (violation of fire safety rules) and 314.2 (negligence) in the district prosecutor's office.
An operational investigative group consisting of representatives of the Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Emergency Situations was created, according to a joint statement of the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Emergency Situations Sept. 9.
The necessary investigative actions were conducted. The appropriate expertise is planned to be held.
The case was transferred to the Heinous Crime Investigation Department under the Prosecutor General's Office due to the severe consequences of the incident.
