Azerbaijani State Customs Committee (SCC) Chairman Aydin Aliyev and Iran's Customs Service Head Masoud Karbasian inspected and became familiar with the work of Astara Border Crossing Point in Azerbaijan on Oct. 1.
Iran's Embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend that the heads of the two countries' customs administrations studied firsthand the conditions created at the Astara Border Crossing Point for transportation of passengers and cargos.
They also had conversation with trucks drivers there, and asked about their problems.
The visit of the head of Iran's customs service to Azerbaijan began Sept. 29 and will end Oct. 2.
