On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its activity in Azerbaijan EY hosted a grand reception on 7 November at the Four Seasons Hotel Baku.
Around 300 distinguished guests and clients attended the event, including honorable government officials, industry leaders, and alumni and colleagues from other EY CIS offices.
At the opening ceremony EY Country Managing Partner for Azerbaijan Ilgar Veliyev and CIS Managing Partner Joe Watt welcomed the guests and thanked them for their cooperation and support throughout EY's successful 20 years.
"We have gathered with friends to celebrate an important day for us. We have maintained a respectful business relationship over the past 20 years and I would like to thank you for your contribution and support. I'm proud to say that EY is the number one professional services firm in Azerbaijan, with the best team, the best clients and the best opportunities!" said Ilgar.
Joe Watt also expressed his congratulations on EY Azerbaijan's outstanding success. "We have many reasons to be proud of being part of the business community in Azerbaijan. We are confident that EY will continue to build a better working world in Azerbaijan by developing our practice, making it successful, providing exceptional client service of the best quality and living our values," said Joe.
The evening also included an art master class presented by young artist Laman Yusifli in oil sketch style. The artist adopted a modern vision of Azerbaijan as the subject for her sketch drawing "Building a Better Working World."
The twentieth anniversary event was an incredible celebration of the contribution that EY Azerbaijan has made during the years of its existence. EY was happy to see the clients, colleagues and friends who came to share their good wishes.
