The earthquake occurred in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, the Republican Center of Seismology of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences said Jan. 23.
The earthquake was registered at 20:30 (UTC/GMT +4 hours) on January 22.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 3.0 and its epicenter was at a depth of 19 kilometers.
The tremors were not felt.
