Much work has been conducted in the areas of development, education, youth employment since celebrating the Youth Day in Azerbaijan on February 2, Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chairman - Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan party Ali Ahmadov said Jan. 31.
He was delivering speech at an event organized by the party on the occasion of the Youth Day.
Deputy Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova, Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling party, MP Siyavush Novruzov, chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev, chairman of the Youth Association of the ruling party Seymur Orujov, MPs, young activists and media representatives attended the event.
Ahmadov said that the foundation of the youth policy was laid by the national leader Heydar Aliyev.
"President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues this policy," he said. "We are proud of our young people. The Azerbaijani youth's tasks are to protect our country and to contribute to the strengthening of Azerbaijan's power. The Azerbaijani youth must be the bearer of national ideas and values. The ruling party is always ready to support young people in this activity."
Muradova congratulated the youth.
"The initiator of celebrating the Youth Day - the national leader Heydar Aliyev conducted much work related to the future of young people," she said.
Muradova wished young people successful implementation of their tasks.
The photos dedicated to the activity of the Youth Association of the ruling party for 2014 were demonstrated to the participants.
The young people, distinguished in 2014, were awarded.
