Azerbaijani gymnast Oleg Stepko won the third gold medal at the Open Joint Azerbaijan Championships in Gymnastics in Baku March 6.

Stepko scored 14.466 points in the artistic gymnastics exercises on rings. Azerbaijani gymnast Petr Pahnyuk with 14,200 points won the third silver medal. Israeli gymnast Eyal Glazer with 14,133 points won the bronze medal.

Moreover, Azerbaijani gymnast Kristina Pravdina won the second gold medal. She showed the best results in the uneven bars exercises - 13,266 points.

Turkish gymnast Tutya Yilmaz ranked second with 12.966 points. Another representative of Turkey Demet Mutlu (12,366 points) won a bronze medal. Azerbaijani gymnast Maria Smirnova ranked fourth with 11,166 points. Previously, she won a gold medal on vault.

Baku hosts the third final stage of the competition of the Open Joint Azerbaijan Championships in Gymnastics in Baku March 6.

Some 26 sets of medals, namely, 10 - artistic gymnastics exercises, two - aerobics, four - acrobatics, four - trampolining competitions will be presented on the last day.

Other six sets of medals will be presented during the rhythmic gymnastics.

The Open Joint Azerbaijan Championships in Gymnastics Disciplines is being held in Baku on March 4-6. This is the test championship on the eve of the First European Games. Coming from 22 countries, 133 gymnasts compete for medals in both the all-around and individual competitions.

A special feature of these games is the same scheme as that of the first European Games. The Open Joint Azerbaijan Championships in Gymnastics will set a precedent in the history of gymnastics and an excellent opportunity for acrobats and aerobics representatives to compete with the rhythmic, artistic and trampoline gymnasts.

European Games-2015 in Baku are the first games in the history of the European continent, to be held in Baku on June 12-28, 2015.
