Marko Kump, a member of the team 'Adria Mobil', won the first stage of Tour d'Azerbaidjan 2015 dedicated to the 92nd birth anniversary of Azerbaijan's National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and won the blue jersey.

Head of the Sumgait city executive authorities, Eldar Azizov, presented him with the prize.

Second place went to the member of the team 'Androni Giocattoli', Francesco Chicchi, who was presented the prize by the chairman of the cycling tour's organizing committee, the vice president of Azerbaijan's Cycling Federation, Sahib Alakbarov.

Maksim Averin of 'Synergy Baku', who came in third, was awarded the prize by his father, Alexander Averin.

The mountain jersey of the first stage was won by a member of 'Synergy Baku', Elchin Asadov, who received a red jersey.

The purple jersey of the youngest cyclist went to the member of team 'Minsk', Vladimir Kharahavik.

The international cycling tour, Tour d'Azerbaidjan 2015, devoted to 92nd birth anniversary of Azerbaijan's National Leader Heydar Aliyev, started in Baku on May 6.

The competition, which is to last five days, involves 25 teams from 24 countries.

The second stage of the cycling tour will start on May 7 at the Bike Park in Baku and will be completed in the district of Ismayilli.
