All 15 victims died as a result of the fire in a multi-story building on Azadlig Avenue, Binagadi district, Baku have been identified, chairman of the Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Association under the Azerbaijani Health Ministry Shakir Musayev told Trend May 20.

Among the victims are Omer Javadov (1.5 years old), Nazila Karimova (39 years old), Ayan Karimova (5 years old), Ayhan Huseynov (2 years old), Farah Maharramov (3 years old), Sahib Bagirov (46 years old), Firangiz Bagirova (60 years old), Zulfiyya Shirinova (43 years old), Yashar Najafzade (27 years old), Davud Eyvazov (16 years old), Ulkar Eyvazova (21 years old), Alla Hasanova (58 years old), Yuri Utuevsil (67 years old), Lyudmila Boikova (87 old years), Elmira Yakhyaeva (68 years old).

Some 34 injured people were placed in the Clinical Toxicology Center, two - in the sixth city hospital, four - in the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics. Fifteen more people were provided with medical assistance on the spot.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Investigation Department on Grave Crimes of the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan upon the fact of fire outbreak on the Articles 225.2 (violation of fire safety rules), 308.2 (abuse of power) and 314.2 (negligence) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

The suspect is the head of the Global Construction, Miryusif Mahmudov, who is accused of using low-quality cladding materials during the cladding of the building. The law enforcement bodies detained Mahmudov.
