Azerbaijan has registered the first bloc of political parties that will participate in the upcoming parliamentary election.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Sept. 4.
The political bloc is called the Azadlig 2015. It consists of seven political parties, namely, Aydinlar, Azadlig, the Citizen and Development Party, the Azerbaijan Popular Party, the Liberal Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, the Great Azerbaijan Party, the Classical Popular Front Party.
Moreover, the authorized representatives of the ruling New Azerbaijan party, Umid party, the National Movement Party of Azerbaijan, Musavat party, Ana Vatan, the Azerbaijan National Independence Party, the Civil Solidarity Party, the Social Democratic Party of Azerbaijan were registered at the meeting.
Some 155 authorized representatives were registered from the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, 23 - Umid party, 19 - National Revival Movement, 65 - Musavat party, 12 - Ana Vatan, 19 - National Independence Party, 12 - the Civil Solidarity Party, 7 - the Social Democratic Party of Azerbaijan.
The emblem of the Azadlig 2015 election bloc was approved and registered at the meeting.
The registration of the authorized representatives of the Azadlig 2015 bloc of political parties was discussed at the meeting.
CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov said that the bloc may apply for approving the authorized representatives only after the official registration of the Azadlig 2015 bloc of political parties.
CEC members also voted for changing the staff of some electoral districts.
The parliamentary election in Azerbaijan will be held November 1.
