A group of Azerbaijani peacekeepers left for Afghanistan, the Azerbaijani defense ministry said Oct. 14.
A group of 25 Azerbaijani peacekeepers operating as part of NATO's 'Resolute Support' non-combat mission went to this country.
The Azerbaijani Armed Forces' peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan began November 20, 2002.
The mission involves 94 servicemen of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, two military doctors, and two engineers.
