The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has taken over all expenses for the treatment of Zaur Rashidov, who needs urgent surgery in Germany, at the initiative of Azerbaijani First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, the foundation told Trend.
Thirty-year-old Rashidov was diagnosed with osteoblastoma.
Five surgeries have been conducted since 2006 but Rashidov has not recovered.
An urgent and complex surgery that can be conducted in Germany is required for complete treatment and recovery. A fundraising campaign was organized in social network to pay for Rashidov's treatment.
