The last day of the FIG World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics kicked off in Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb. 21.

The tournament is being held at the National Gymnastics Arena, and will feature men's vault, parallel bars, horizontal bar, pommel horse, rings, as well as floor finals. Female gymnasts will compete in floor, balance beam, vault and uneven bars exercise.

Azerbaijan will be represented in nine finals out of ten. Azerbaijani gymnast Oleg Stepko will perform in the finals of rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar exercise. Another Azerbaijani athlete, Petro Pakhnyuk, will perform in the floor exercise finals.

Among Azerbaijani female gymnasts, Marina Nekrasova will perform in the floor exercise finals. She will also represent Azerbaijan in balance beam exercise finals. Azerbaijani female gymnast Maria Smirnova will perform vault exercise, and Yulia Inshina will perform in uneven bars exercise finals.

The FIG World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics kicked off in Baku Feb. 19 and is to end Feb. 21. As many as 45 male and 22 female gymnasts compete for medals in apparatus finals of the World Challenge Cup.

In general, athletes from 19 countries are participating in the event.

Men's and women's qualifications on the first two days of the competitions will be followed by apparatus finals on the last day.
