The term of arrest of the former chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan, Jahangir Hajiyev, was extended for three months.
An appeal given by investigation body to Baku's Narimanov District Court to extend Hajiyev's arrest term was considered March 4.
The court granted the appeal and Hajiyev's arrest term was extended until June 4.
He is charged under various articles of the Criminal Code, including misappropriation, abuse of office, fraud by causing huge damage, embezzlement through the abuse of office, and bribing.
