Melek Cakmak, a Turkish national, was appointed the head of the UN Food and Agricultural Organization's (FAO) Partnership and Liaison Office in Azerbaijan, said FAO in a message posted on its website.
Cakmak succeeded Mustafa Imir, who was the FAO Representative in Baku since April 2015.
FAO has implemented 23 projects in Azerbaijan since 1995. Currently, the implementation of five national and two regional projects is underway.
