Amendments made to a number of documents on obtaining e-visa in Azerbaijan have entered into force June 6, 2016, the press service of Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers told Trend.
The amendments concern the "Procedure for filling visa form", "Visa application form" sample and the decision "On approval of "Request of party, which invited foreigner or person without citizenship to Azerbaijan" sample."
In accordance with the amendments, the procedure for obtaining an e-visa by foreigners at the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan has been defined, and the sample of application form to obtain this visa on the territory of Azerbaijan has been confirmed.
These changes came following the recent decree by Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, who on June 1 signed a decree on simplification of e-visas issuance procedure and the creation of the ASAN Viza system.
The decree was signed in order to simplify procedure for issuing visas to foreigners and stateless persons arriving in Azerbaijan, as well as creation of an e-visa system ensuring transparency and efficiency with the use of modern information technologies.
Foreigners, who are willing to visit Azerbaijan, will be able to get visas online, after Azerbaijan launches its "ASAN Visa" system.
Visas will be issued through a single online portal online within three days without applying to state organizations. Foreign citizens, tourists can use the services of the ASAN Viza portal to arrive in Azerbaijan.
