Japan team’s coach: Baku organizes sports competitions better and better every year

Baku, Azerbaijan, July 21

By Anvar Mammadov – Trend:

Baku organizes sports competitions better and better every year, the coach of Japanese team for rhythmic gymnastics, Inna Bystrova told Trend July 21.

“Organizational capacities of Baku grow year by year,” noted Bystrova, who previously worked in Azerbaijan.

“When I worked in Azerbaijan, excellent conditions were created for us,” she said. “Now I have come here as a coach of another team and the conditions are wonderful.”

“Gymnasts’ mastery level has increased and it is obvious,” noted Bystrova. “But rhythmic gymnastics is such a dynamic kind of sports where nobody stands in one place, so that the mastery level of other gymnasts is also growing.”

The FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics will take place in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku on July 22-24, giving a unique opportunity to watch the performances of eminent gymnasts from 17 countries two weeks prior to the Rio Olympics.

Twenty-six gymnasts and 9 teams will compete for medals in the all-around on the first two days of competitions. Apparatus finals will be held on the event’s last day.

A magnificent opening ceremony, directed by the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team Mariana Vasileva, will be held on July 22, followed by the traditional Gala on July 24, as part of the FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics in Baku.
