The latest on the road accident in Turkey’s Igdir province

13:58 (GMT+4) Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in the Turkish province of Kars said that as a result of the accident eight people have been killed and the work is underway to determine whether there are Azerbaijani citizens, said Hajiyev.

The Consulate General of Azerbaijan, being in contact with local authorities, is providing aid to injured people. Consul General and the diplomatic mission staff are now in the hospital, where the injured people have been placed.

Nureddin Araz, a member of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly, told Trend that there are four Azerbaijanis among eight people killed as a result of the accident.

13:39 (GMT+4) Twenty-six Azerbaijani nationals have been injured as a result of the road accident in the Turkish province of Igdir, Spokesman of Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry Hikmat Hajiyev told Trend Feb. 20.

The road accident with the participation of two buses occurred in the Turkish province of Igdir at a road section between the Diludzhu (Nakhchivan) checkpoint and Aralik district.
