Azerbaijani gymnast Marina Nekrasova ranked third in women’s floor exercises of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup in Baku March 19.

“I am glad that I have won bronze,” Nekrasova told reporters in Baku March 19. "I performed well in floor exercises but worried a little while performing balance beam exercises. I could have performed better."

The gymnast said that she is preparing to participate in the 7th European Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

"I will do my best to continue to please the audience," Nekrasova said.

The last day of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup kicked off at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku March 19.

The men are competing in vault, pommel horse and horizontal bar finals, while the women - in balance beam and floor finals.

Azerbaijan is represented by Marina Nekrasova in balance beam and floor exercises.

A total of ten sets of medals will be awarded at the competitions.

The FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup finals will end Mar. 19. Gymnasts from 23 countries take part in the FIG World Cup in artistic gymnastics, which is hosted by Azerbaijan for the second time.
