Aleksandra Soldatova, Russian female rhythmic gymnast, two-time world champion and European champion, told reporters in Baku Apr. 28 that she will try her best in the finals of the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Azerbaijan’s capital.

Following a qualification round Apr. 28, Soldatova reached the ball and hoop finals.

She noted that at first, it was difficult for her to perform at the FIG Baku World Cup because everything was new to her, but then she started to perform better.

The first day of the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup kicked off in Baku Apr. 28. The competitions are being held at the National Gymnastics Arena. Ninety-four gymnasts from 21 countries are participating in the event.
