Mexican commercial mission will visit Baku to organize presentations of traditional Mexican alcoholic beverage mezcal during Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Mexican Embassy in Azerbaijan said in a message.
The commercial mission will hold 3 mezcal presentations to promote the variety of brands and types of this beverage.
Mezcal is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from any type of agave plant native to Mexico. The mezcal industry generates more than 16,000 direct jobs and more than 40,000 indirect jobs. In 2016 Mexico produced about 3.03 million liters and exported over of two million liters of mescal to 51 country. The main importers of this beverage are the US, Germany and Chile.
The 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held in Baku on June 23-25.
