INT’L CONFERENCE ON SEISMOLOGY ENDS IN BAKU

A three-day international seminar on �Contemporary dynamic, geo-risks and stable development in the territory ranging from the Black Sea to the Caspian’ ended at the Geology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences in Baku on Wednesday, Said Husseynov, a spokesman for Land Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences, told Trend.

According to Husseynov, the end of the conference it was resolved to prepare the public for natural calamities and draw attention to the work implemented in the sectors of science, politics, and industry.

Attending the forum were scientists from Azerbaijan, Germany, the UK, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, Russia and Georgia.

"Delegates from the participant countries spoke about seismic state of their countries. The head of the Seismology Department of the Geology Institute, Bahruz Panahi informed the participants in the forum about seismically active places in the territory of Azerbaijan and their current state. The workshop revealed the seismic danger of the region increased,” he noted.

Under the event the participants of the workshop visited the territory of Dashgir volcano in Alat.
