The ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Elmira Suleymanova is in the country’s western region. She plans to visit Khanlar, Shamkir, Gedabey regions and Gyanja within the framework of her visit, the ombudsman’s office told Trend.
The goal of the visit is getting familiar with the human rights situation in this region. The ombudsman holds meetings with local residents of these regions, with local authorities, law-enforcement bodies, military units, studies citizen’s claims and appeals on the spot.
