“While transition from one grade to another in education it is necessary to take into consideration the previous results,” Misir Mardanov, the Azerbaijani Education Minister, told a workshop вЂBologna process in Azerbaijan вЂ" Tempus Program’ held in Baku on Tuesday.

Mardanov said that Azerbaijan is an only world country where the results of one grade of education are not taken into consideration while transition to next grade. В"It would be unaffordable to show disrespect the labor of around 200,000 teachers and distrust them. Not all 200,000 are bribe takers,” the minister stressed.

According to the Minister, the factor directly makes a negative impact on the level of education in the country. “The improvement of the level of education is a major requirement of the Bologna process, that Azerbaijan has recently joined,” he underscored.

The workshop with rector of leading universities, officials of the Education Ministry and international education programs implemented in Azerbaijan focused on prospects of the future projects, opportunities for increase of the level of education in the country.
