“Effective play at the tournaments depends on rivals’ force,” Teymur Rajabaov, the leader of Azerbaijani national chess team, told Trend on the eve of the European Team Championship in Gothenburg.
He scored 20 points after the Individual Championship in Poland and his current rating is 2706 points, the grand master added. According to Rajabov, this result corresponds with the status of the world chess elite, particularly, after he managed to won silver award in Poland. He underlined that he would seek new victories.
Rajabov won prestige tournament in Dos-Ermanose (Spain) in this season.
