Movlud Miraliyev (100 kg), the Azerbaijani judo wrestler, ranked 9 at the World Championship in Cairo.
Miraliyev, the holder of bronze prize, won Lithuanian Marius Pashkevichus in Osaka, but was defeated by Keiji Suzuki in the next competition and lost chance to gain high award. Then he beat German Michael Jurak in the comforting competition and lost the fight to Russian Dmitriy Kabanov, who ranked 3.
Meanwhile, Suzuki became champion at 100 kg weight defeating Vitaliy Bubonov from Ukraine.
