“Vahhabism uses Islam as an ideology of terror, which is unacceptable. Islam and terror are incompatible,” Sheik-uk-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazada, the head of Caucasus Clerical Board (CCB), stated to a two-day international conference �Solidarity of Islamic Communities’ which opened in Baku on Tuesday with organization support of the CCB and the Culture Center of Iranian embassy in Baku.
Reminding of terror attacks committed in different points of the work, including Chechnya and Dagestan, Pashazade said it actually alarm the Islamic world. “Vahhabism targets breaking up Islam. We must study the issue and estimate the currency situation,” he underlined. Representatives of numerous religions, whom the common history unites, reside in the Caucasus.
Pashazade stressed that a challenge to unification of Moslems does not imply �unity for destruction’. “Our key objective is to promote the unification of representatives of different religions. It is necessary to direct all efforts from �majority to unity’ for consolidation,” he underscored. The wills of splitting the Moslems was inherited from Soviet Union.
Touching up the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh Pashazade thanked the Islamic countries for support to Baku’s just policy, directed at the liberation of the Azerbaijani territory under Armenian occupation.
