The draft regulation of the commission on education under the Azerbaijani President has been submitted to the consideration of the head of state, the Azerbaijani Education Ministry told Trend.
The draft document, developed by the experts of the Ministry with consideration of proposals by the member of the commission, has been approved by the Humanitarian Policy Department of the President’s Executive Power. The final variant of the document will sent to the members of the commission.
After the issue of the presidential decree on the establishment of the commission, the new establishment held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Ramiz Mehdiytev, the head-of-staff of the President’s Executive Power. The gathering resolved to establish working groups on study of some strategic issues concerning the upgrade of education, including the integration of Azerbaijan in to the common European high education system and joining to Bologna process and presentation of relevant materials to the commission.
The commission considered and adopted a resolution on the importance of reconsideration of a list of specialties on both bachelor and master grade. At present the Ministry is drafting new regulation on improvement of the education system in the country.
