The Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry banned hunting for birds for a month on Tuesday. It is done to conduct blood test of migratory wild birds in relation to bird flue in southeastern countries of Asia, including Russia and Kazakhstan.
The Ministry gave instructions to appropriate departments to stop issuing of permission on hunting, conduct propaganda among population, strengthening struggle with illegal hunting.
The Minsitry also intends to make an official appeal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Taxes Ministry to take urgent measures in liquidation of sale of illegally shot off birds at markets.
