“The preliminary sitting of the trial against the 17 servecimen will be held at the Court Martial on Hard Criminal on 24 October. The prisoners accused of violation of order and provocation at reformatory will appear before the court,” Agamali Gafarov, the chairman of the sitting, told Trend.
The preliminary investigation conducted by the Military Prosecutor Office revelaed that the 17 former prisoners arrested for commitment of different crimes and kept at reformatory 11, participated in the mutiny organized at the reformatory on 15 February 2005. Some of them explained their action with the protest against warden.
It should be mentioned that Ogtay Hassanov, the head of the reformatory, was dismissed from his post after the events.
