The work within the state program on use of alternative and renewable sources of energy, approved by the Presidetial decree of 21 October 2004, is underway. The use of nonpolluting alternative sources of energy will allow to save fuel, whci will lead to decrease of toxic returns to atmosphere, The Ecology and Natural Resources Minsitry told Trend.
The Minsitry also noted that though Azerbaijan had great potential of alternative sources of energy, the level of their use was very low. “The ministry implements some pilot projects (wind, sun, biogas) in this regard,” the Ministry underlined.
Next step in this direction is to import Turkish plant KД°SKATECH-ECOGAS-15, which produce biogas with application of solar energy. The Ministry purchased 5 similar plants and freely acquired 2 plants, which were installed in the villages Talistan and Yeni Yol of the Ismayilli region.
Besides, 1 biogas plant was put into exploitation in Priran village, Lerik region, and Siyaku village, Astara region, on Friday. Such plant was also installed in the Ulug village, Guba region.
The plant produces 2 cu m gas per day, while the volume of the fertilizers manufacturing as a result of the process is equal to150 liters per day.
